1. About Lutz Pumps

Lutz Pumps was established in Frankfurt, Germany in 1954 and is a multinational company specializing in the design and manufacture of pumps for transferring liquids from drums and containers (drum pumps), holding a technically advanced position in the industry. Since its founding it has expanded rapidly, with subsidiaries (factories) in the UK, USA, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Austria to serve users in different regions.

Lutz helps customers solve problems in the transfer and accurate metering of drummed liquids. Whether the medium is flammable, explosive, toxic and hazardous, or strongly acidic or alkaline, and whether it is a high- (transfer viscosity up to 120,000 cps), medium- or low-viscosity liquid, Lutz provides a tailored solution for each type.

Lutz flow meters are simple in construction, multi-functional, and accurately and verifiably calibrated; their range from basic to modular, combinable designs keeps investment cost controllable. All Lutz flow meters carry CE certification, and explosion-proof flow meters are additionally ATEX-certified. Combined with a Lutz drum pump they form a complete metering system supporting local and remote automatic control, and can also be used with other pulsation-free pumps, in-line pipeline fluids, or gravity-flow systems. They suit ordinary and explosion-proof environments and the metering and control of fluids of any pH from thin to viscous, and are widely used in chemicals, pharmaceuticals, household chemicals, coatings, food, surface treatment and water treatment.

The construction of Lutz drum and container pumps ensures safe and economical transfer of neutral, corrosive and flammable/explosive liquids from containers of different sizes. They are used to pump water and low-viscosity liquids and can be used in mobile or fixed installations.
