Technical details
1. About Sundyne High-Speed Pumps
Sundyne (USA) is a subsidiary of Hamilton Sundstrand, part of United Technologies Corporation. A high-technology company, Sundyne enjoys a strong reputation in both the aerospace and industrial sectors.
Sundyne originated as the aerospace division of Sundstrand. In 1950 the company signed a contract with Boeing to manufacture a high-pressure water-injection pump that boosted jet-engine thrust during aircraft takeoff. It was from this unique high-speed single-stage centrifugal technology that Sundstrand Fluid Handling (today Sundyne) pioneered a new field of high-speed centrifugal pump technology. In 1962, Sundyne partnered with a leading chemical company on the Gulf of Mexico to successfully apply its high-speed centrifugal pumps in the petrochemical industry. To date more than 40,000 Sundyne high-speed centrifugal pumps have been installed across many industries, widely used in oil refining, petrochemicals, energy, inorganic chemicals, paper, food, mining and other sectors.
