Technical details

Overview of the engineered dosing package:

Each dosing package is engineered to order around the specific process duty. Based on the customer's process requirements, the required number of metering pumps together with solution tanks, agitators, level gauges, safety valves, back-pressure valves, pressure gauges, filters, pulsation dampeners, piping and valves are configured and integrated on a common base to form a complete unit for storing and dosing chemical solutions. The package can be operated manually or controlled automatically; automatic control is achieved using various sensors, controllers, transmitters, stroke-positioning motors, frequency converters, PLCs and other electrical instruments. Wetted materials are selected to match the corrosive characteristics of each medium — carbon steel (rubber-lined carbon steel), stainless steel or non-metallic materials (PE, PVC, PP). The result is a compact, small-footprint package that is simple to install and operate, and can be delivered as a fixed or mobile (skid-mounted) build to suit the project.

Main components of the dosing system:

  • Metering pump: the device that delivers a precise dose of chemical solution within the dosing system. Flow rate from 1 L/h to 10000 L/h and pressure from 0.3 MPa to 30 MPa. Metering accuracy can reach ±1%.
  • Solution tank: used to store the solution.
  • Agitator: mixes the solution evenly to prevent stratification and sedimentation.
  • Safety valve: prevents overpressure damage to the system and equipment.
  • Back-pressure valve: improves the metering accuracy of the pump under low system pressure.
  • Filter: filters the medium at the metering-pump inlet to prevent impurities from clogging the pump.
  • Pulsation dampener: smooths the pulsation at the pump inlet and outlet, improves the pump's suction performance and metering accuracy, and reduces vibration in the system and piping.
