PIERALISI Horizontal Decanter Centrifuge

Horizontal screw decanter centrifuge from PIERALISI (est. 1886) for municipal and industrial sludge thickening and dewatering, separating two- or multi-phase mixtures by density inside a rotating cylindrical/conical bowl for high cake dryness and low energy and polymer consumption.

Horizontal screw (decanter) settling centrifuge

Working principle

The PIERALISI centrifuge separates two-phase or multi-phase materials of different specific gravities using the principle that, under centrifugal force, a mixture of materials of differing density stratifies and settles. The separation takes place inside a rotating cylindrical/truncated-conical bowl. Heavier solids settle and accumulate against the inner wall of the bowl and are continuously conveyed by the internal scroll toward the bowl's discharge port.

About PIERALISI

Founded in 1886, PIERALISI has more than 130 years of experience producing centrifuges for sludge dewatering. As one of the longest-established specialist centrifuge manufacturers, it is also one of the largest decanter centrifuge producers today, with annual output and sales steadily around one thousand units in recent years, placing it among the industry leaders. Approximately 38,000 PIERALISI group centrifuges are currently operating stably and efficiently across various industries worldwide. In addition to conventional decanter centrifuges, the PIERALISI group develops, engineers and produces decanter centrifuges with special structures. Compared with conventional designs, PIERALISI's innovative and distinctive structure offers many advantages and is widely used for industrial and municipal sludge thickening and dewatering. Years of practical application show that these specially designed decanter centrifuges deliver low energy consumption, low chemical (polymer) consumption, high solids content in the discharged cake, stable operation, low noise, and easy operation, management and maintenance.
